Yan is a passionate and experienced physiotherapist who brings both professional expertise and a deep personal commitment to sport. Having competed at a high level in Softball and Rugby, she understands firsthand the physical demands, setbacks, and determination that define an athlete’s journey, whether you’re chasing a championship or simply staying active on weekends.

Yan specialises in individualised rehabilitation, guiding athletes through every stage of recovery from acute injury through to full return to performance. Each plan is carefully tailored to the individual, combining astute exercise selection with hands-on manual therapy techniques including visceral manipulation, enabling her to address the whole body, not just the site of injury.

Among Yan’s special areas of interest are rehabilitation of the throwing shoulder and concussion management, assisting overhead athletes and contact sport players navigating the often-complex road back to full participation.

She was the team physiotherapist for the National U-19 Women’s Team throughout the qualifiers as well as during the U-19 Women’s World Floorball Championships. She currently also serves as the team physiotherapist for the National Women’s 15s Rugby team, providing support during the inaugural SEA Women's XV Championship campaign.

Yan’s pitch-side experience speaks to the trust placed in her clinical judgement under pressure, including working at the prestigious HSBC Singapore SVNSs — part of the global HSBC SVNS Series — where rapid assessment and calm decision-making are essential.
